Lake Lemon Boating Codes of Conduct

DNR Boater Safety Course

Resident Annual Permits**

  • Personal Watercraft: $162.00
  • All Boats with Motors Under 10 HP, including Row Boats and Sail Boats: $54.00
  • All Boats with Motors 10 HP and Over: $80.0

Non-Resident Annual Permits

  • Personal Watercraft: $238.00 
  • All Boats with Motors Under 10 HP, including Row Boats and Sail Boats:  $122.00 
  • All Boats with Motors 10 HP and Over:  $157.00 
  • Annual Boat Ramp Launch: $38.00 (included in above pricing)
  • The LLCD requires a fee for the boat and for use of the ramp.  If you are trailering in and out for the season, an annual ramp permit is required.

Daily Permits

  • Personal Watercraft:  $30.00 
  • All Boats with Motors Under 10 HP, including Row Boats and Sail Boats: $17.00
  • All Boats with Motors 10 HP and Over: $22.00 
  • Boat Ramp Launch: $7.00 (included in above pricing)
  • The LLCD requires a fee for the boat and for use of the ramp. If you are trailering in and out, a ramp fee is required.

Commercial Fishing Guide Annual Permits

  • Annual Boat Permit: $500.00
  • Annual Boat Ramp Launch: $38.00
  • The LLCD requires a fee for the boat and for use of the ramp. If you are trailering in and out for the season, an annual ramp permit is required.

Ballast Boats

  • Annual Ballast Boat (resident): $280.00
  • Annual Ballast Boat (non-resident): $357.00
  • Daily Ballast Boat: $40.00

*Canoes, paddleboats, and kayaks are excluded from Boat Permit Fees but are required to pay launch fees if ramp is used.

**Lake residents are defined as:

  1. Private property owners (freeholders) within the Conservancy District boundaries.
  2. City of Bloomington Utilities (CBU) water company customers, if a copy of CBU water bill is provided at time of annual boat permit purchase.
  3. Commercial marinas, boat and yacht club wet boat slip and dry storage renters and members.

2022 Annual permits are valid from March 2022 to March 31, 2023.

2023 Annual permits will go on sale March 21, 2023.

Purchases of Daily and Annual Boat passes are  non-refundable transactions, without exception.
