4th Annual Lemon Drop Polar Plunge

Join us for The 4th Annual Lemon Drop Polar Plunge at Lake Lemon Riddle Point Park on Saturday, January 10th, 2026! The plunge kicks off at 11:00am, so arrive by 10:30am to register/check in at the Shelter House. All donations benefit the Lake Lemon Conservancy District; donations over $35 score you a special commemorative event merch! 

We will provide hot cocoa, two warming fireplaces in the shelter house, and custom Lake Lemon scarf or pair of wool socks with a donation of $35 or more, and memories for a lifetime!

Polar Plunge Resources

Tips & Reminders: 

Lake Lemon will be very cold this time of year, so it’s best to be prepared for the Polar Plunge… 

• Pack towels and water shoes

• Wear your swimsuit under your clothes

• Bring easy-to-get-in warm clothes and shoes for after the Plunge

• Bring some bags for wet and dry clothes

• For your own safety, never dive into the water

What to Expect: 

Wondering what it’s like? Winters at Lake Lemon tend to be mild, but the waters will still be frigid. It is cold!

Most take the plunge and hurry back to the shore for dry land, towels, and warm fires. The true polar bears out there may actually stay in the freezing cold water and swim. These daring swimmers take polar plunging to a whole new level, staying out there as long as possible (we’ve seen up to 20 minutes). Be sure to take this experience at your own pace, just don’t forget to have fun!
